"sm70- why not Duesenberg?" (sm70-whynotduesenberg)

If you want four doors and the ability to keep pace with a Charger Hellcat, a Tesla is an excellent choice. But let us not forget that Audi will also sell you a car that will go door-to-door-to-door-to-door with a Hellcat. Less fun? Yup. Would I take it over a Charger? Without hesitation.
Now if only I could do something about that infernal Tesla...

It’s aging gracefully. I’d take mine in Nardograu.

Please give my a new S8. It is so much better looking than the new S class. Anyways, obligatory new S65, which would also scissor kick a Hellcat.

Are you saying you’d compare a car that costs two or three times what a hellcat does, to a hellcat? It's like saying you'd prefer an Aventador to a GT-R.

Too bad no S6 or RS6 Avants over here, and too bad no Magnum Hellcat, either!
Oh well, at least the Tesla has a third seat

I love the RS7, but with RS getup I find it ever so slightly less graceful than this.

I am saying that, and the reason I’m bothering to say that is because that for me, and a lot of other people here on Oppo, the more expensive car is not always the favorite.

Another excellent choice. Once you get past the quarter mile, and especially once the roads get twisty, this will simply drive away from the Audi.

Also the A8 platform has that awesome depreciation factor... In 4 years you can (probably) get that same V8TT good ness for 40-50k, if not, even cheaper.

Which is a big disappointment to me because the regular S7 is the most graceful four door on sale I think

Would it though? I know it’s V12 but isn’t it a “slow” car comparatively?

I’m not sure to be honest. I think depending on traction the hellcat would most likely beat it off the line, but the merc has more torque and doesn’t weigh much more, so i think once they are rolling, the S65 would probably take it.

If we’re talking about big lux sedans, I’ll have me a CT6. With the upcoming twin-turbo V8.
